Golf Downswing: 5 Great Tips To Transform Your Golf Swing

The golf downswing is absolutely and without doubt THE most important move in golf. It doesn't matter what precedes it. If the downswing is not right, it doesn't matter how good your grip is or how perfect your alignment is or how flawless your backswing is. If your downswing is wrong, everything else is wasted. Everything we do before we commence the downswing (the grip, the stance, alignment, takeaway, backswing) is preparation for enabling us to make the golf swing as perfect a golf swing as possible.

The most common mistake golfers make is to initiate the downswing with the arms or shoulders. What this usually creates is an "out to in" motion, which causes us to swing across the intended target line. To compensate for this, we have to open up the club face to allow the ball to get back on target, which creates side spin which creates that destructive slice. If like me your natural swing is a fade/slice you will know how difficult things can get when playing into a head wind or a left to right wind. The other problem this can cause is if we do NOT open the club face to compensate. Result. A pull shot to the left.

The downswing should be the very natural result of everything that precedes it. It should start from the ground up. This sounds a bit complicated but all it simply means that the first movement of the downswing should be made by the lower body. Coaches and swing gurus argue about this move and which part of the body moves first. It is vital that we do not have too many technical thoughts in our heads at this point in the swing. We should have one single trigger thought and only one.

Golf Tip #1 A great trigger motion is to move the right knee towards the left knee and plant the left heal flat on the ground. Planting that left heel begins the process of your hips moving forward.

Golf Tip #2 Allow your body to uncoil naturally in response to this trigger motion. Let your legs do the work. If your lower body is moving and turning, your upper body has to as well. Let it happen with as little conscious input from you as possible.

Golf Tip #3 It is imperative that you make sure that your shoulders, arms and hands follow exactly the same path as you made with your backswing. If you can master this part of the downswing then you will eliminate that "out to in" swing.

Golf Tip #4 Practice this trigger motion without a ball. Rehearse that feeling of moving the right knee and planting the left foot flat on the ground. Rehearse what it feels like to have the same path for your backswing and your downswing. Repeat it until it becomes natural, until you don't have to think about it.

Golf Tip #5 Probably the best advice you will ever get is to swing within yourself. Feel like your swinging at about 85% for all your shots. This will allow you time to perform the swing and it will improve timing hugely. The result is longer, more accurate shots.

Be relaxed at all times. None of us can perform any physical task while we are tense. Let the swing flow. Try only to have a few specific swing thoughts. Too may swing thoughts in your head at any one time will only make things more difficult. Master this one aspect of the swing and then we can work on improving other aspects of the golf swing at a later stage.

Be aware that there is much more to the perfect golf swing than just the downswing but mastering the perfect golf downswing will greatly improve your game and your chances of getting that handicap tumbling downwards.

Golf Swing Trainer Clubs - How You Can Learn to Hit Down For Pure Iron Shots For Duffers

Some of us hit our iron shots fat more times than not while others hit them thin. Some beat the ball along the ground; rolling it up the fairway we resemble bowlers rather than golfers. All of us want to hit those pure iron shots we see from the better players. To do so, many golfers have turned to golf swing trainer clubs for help.

Hitting pure iron shots is one of the most satisfying experiences in golf. The majestic beauty of the ball flying toward the green then landing softly near the pin is what brings many of back for another round.

Do you take a divot with your irons? You really should you know. The more accomplished players will all take a divot because they understand that hitting down is best way to take advantage of the design of the golf club.

I know you've heard it before but to hit pure iron shots consistently the clubface must be traveling along a downward path when it strikes the ball. Easier said than done, I know.

The challenging part is that the concept of hitting down on something we are trying to make go up is backwards to most of us. As a result we tend to try to hit under the ball lifting it into the air or we attempt to scoop the ball to get it airborne.

All sorts of things go wrong when we try to swing a golf club like that. Fat shots, thin shots and everything in between but the kind of shot we want. Nobody wants that. It is a shame that we continue playing like this for so long when there is an easy way to fix the problem and bring more enjoyment to every round we play.

The Tour Striker golf swing trainer club is just the tool many of us need to help us develop the feel for the proper downward strike of the golf ball.! This golf swing trainer club will intuitively help you understand leverage and how to apply the club head to the golf ball in the same manner as the best players in the world.

The design is so smart. The lower part of the clubface, where the leading edge would be, has been removed and rounded off leaving only the area close to the sweet spot. When making with the ball the golfer must deliver this modified clubhead into the ball with a forward leaning shaft. Otherwise the ball will be struck by the rounded lower portion of the head and the shot will just roll along the ground.

To hit pure iron shots then you must create a downward blow with the shaft leaning ahead of the ball. When this is done correctly all the engineering of the club and the ball work together to bring the golfer the joy and satisfaction of a purely struck golf shot.

The Tour Striker may be the golf swing trainer club you need to improve your ball striking bringing you more enjoyment of the game we all love so much.

The Inside Out Golf Swing

We often hear on the course or the range that our swing should be "inside out". The concept doesn't necessarily refer to the swing as a whole, but rather to the swing path the club face takes just before and slightly after impact. In this article, we cover the basics of the inside out golf swing path and a few pointers on how to achieve it.

Let's start by imagining a swing that is "on plane". During address, imagine a straight line running through the ball in line with the target (our "target line") and stretching to infinity in both directions. Next, imagine a straight line extending to infinity from both the bottom and top of the club shaft (think of a laser pointer attached to each end of the club shaft).

Throughout the swing, the imaginary lines from the top and bottom of the club shaft should follow along the imaginary target line running in front and back of the ball--except, of course, when the club shaft is parallel to the ground. For example, at the start of the back swing, the imaginary line extending from the bottom of the club shaft follows along the target line running behind the ball.  Ensuring these imaginary lines always intersect provides for a swing that is "on plane".

Back to the "inside out swing path". As the club face approaches the ball (the bottom of the shaft still pointing to the imaginary target line behind the ball) the hands (should) have dropped closer to the body, keeping the arms connected. When this happens, the club face will be square with the target line at impact yet be traveling on a slightly inside out path (with respect to the target line) just before and after impact. This path provides two advantages:

It requires that the hands have remained low--which means that the arms are more "connected" to the body. Having the arms "connected" allows for a greater transfer of power from the legs and hips to the club head.
As the club face makes impact, the inside out path puts a slight draw on the ball that translates into further distance. The further distance comes from the fact that a draw produces less backspin, a lower trajectory, and occurs when the club face is closed--a point when the club head is at its maximum velocity.

Let's look at a few tips to help develop an inside out golf swing path:

Keep the swing on plane - This is often easier said than done, but, per above, imagining a laser extending from both ends of the club path that consistently follows the target line running through the ball works wonders.

Practice with a small back swing - Use a small back swing (less than two feet) to practice keeping the hands low just before impact. Remember to keep the hands forward of the club head and the imaginary line extending from the bottom of the shaft pointed to the target line at all times. Doing several repetitions of this drill at the beginning of practice on the range will help develop the proper coordination and muscle memory.

Observe the divot (for irons) - After every iron shot, observe the divot. The divot should show a slight inside out path.

Golf Tips: Swing Plane Faults That You Can Fix Fast

Would you like to develop a sound, simple and reliable basic golf swing? I'm sure that you know there are countless golf lessons online as well as a great deal of video golf instruction that describes the drills golf teachers use to improve golf swing faults, but very few golf instructors actually get to the root cause of why most golf swing problems begin in the first place.

In this golf instruction article I'm going to share with you a simple way to improve your basic golf swing plane so you can hit consistently longer and straighter golf shots, increase your golf confidence and develop lower score golf scores.

The majority of golf swing faults produced by amateur golfers can be traced back to a faulty swing plane that is not aligned correctly both in terms of its alignment to the target and its alignment to the plane angle it originated on.

The engineers that designed your golf clubs understand the importance of the swing plane but unfortunately when golfers purchase golf clubs from a golf shop or pro shop, as a rule they don't get a user manual with the golf clubs that describes how the golf clubs should be used correctly.

Kind of funny really when you think about it, considering that most expensive items you purchase have some form of instruction manual with them.

Anyway, there is one inarguable fact that you need to know and trust about improving your basic golf swing. The fact is that you need to swing your golf club on or very close to the original swing plane if you want to really improve the way you hit the golf ball.

The original swing plane is the angle of the golf club you're using when you address a golf ball. From driver to putter every golf club is built on an inclined plane angle because the golf ball is positioned to the side of you and in front of you.

This plane angle is slightly different with every club in your bag and so your job is to rest it on the ground as it was designed with the club face pointing directly to your target and then build your golf swing around it.

To do this effectively you need to hold onto the golf club lightly enough that the club face doesn't aim off line. Many amateur golfers I've taught at my golf school over the years squeeze the grip so tightly that the club face is twisted which creates golf swing alignment errors leading to common golf shots like slices, pulls and even fat shots.

If your grip pressure is higher than five on a one to ten scale (with ten being too tight) then you are squeezing too tightly. Also when you hold onto the grip your right hand (right hand golfer) should be positioned on the side of the grip so that when you open the palm of your hand up it would point straight down the target line.

When your hand is placed under the golf grip (facing the sky), or on top of it (facing the ground), you will in all probability alter the swing plane direction as you swing back away from the ball. Remember to build your golf swing around the design of the golf club which means that your rest it on the ground and point it towards your intended target. When you swing it away there are two basic but very important stages that your golf club should travel through.

Basic Swing Plane Stage 1:

1. The golf club should swing directly away from the ball without lifting upwards abruptly or traveling inwards or outwards too quickly as it goes back. Imagine for a moment that your golf club was laying flat on a piece of cardboard on the same angle as the golf club and that the club simply traveled backwards and forwards along the card board until the club head and shaft was parallel with the ground.

Basic Swing Plane Stage 2:

2. Now, if the golf club traveled further back the club head would now be higher than your hands but would still be on or close to the piece of card board. As it travels back the grip end of the golf shaft would point directly to the base of the card board where the golf club once rested.

The golf shaft angle is maintained as it travels from the start of the back-swing to the top and into the down swing and follow-through phases.

The best way to learn to do this is to practice with a pitching wedge and swing it back until your left arm and golf club form an angle that would represent the letter 'L.' In this position your left arm would be horizontal and the golf shaft vertical-although it would point towards the target line.

When you swing into the follow-through you again form a horizontal arm position only this time it's with your right arm, and the golf shaft would again be vertical and pointing down towards the target line.

I call this golf stroke the 'Level 1' basic golf swing as it's the first stage of the full golf swing. Just like a house needs a strong and sound foundation to be built upon, your golf swing needs a strong and sound foundation to swing upon. By practicing the level one golf swing you are building the type of support your golf swing needs to control the distance and direction of the golf ball easily.

Remember that it's easy to just swing away without really thinking much about what you're doing. But consider that the golf clubs only real purpose is to achieve a sound impact and you will realize the importance of swinging your golf club on its correct plane angle.

Even if you can't make it out to a driving range or practice fairway, practice the level one swing often and you'll notice a considerable difference in your shot-making consistency within three months.

Every sound golf swing has a level one position built into it and so can yours so start practicing your golf swing on a daily basis and in the hours, days and months ahead you'll discover the power and purpose of the on-plane basic golf swing.

Golf Swing Secrets - Stick Your Irons Close Everytime With These Tips!

The golf swing can be very difficult to master, and in reality no one ever gets it completely figured out. However, in this article I am going to share with you 3 tips that will improve your iron play, and help you stick your irons close to the pin time after time!

1. Correct ball position. One of the most important factors in solid iron play is correct ball position. Most golfers play the ball either too far back in their stance, or too far up. This causes inconsistent iron shots. To play a standard 9 iron shot, the ball should be in the middle of your stance. For each club, you want to move the ball up approximately 1/2 of an inch. For instance, your driver would be played off of your front toe.

2. Get behind the ball. If you want to improve your ball striking, then you need to make sure that you transfer your weight "behind the ball" at the top of your backswing. This means that all of your weight is loaded on your back side, and is ready to be transferred forward in order to exert the maximum amount of force onto the golf ball.

3. Angle of attack. Often times golfers attack the ball from a very steep angle with iron shots, which often leads to hitting the ball fat, or topping the ball. If you want to hit the ball solid each and every time, try to come into the ball on a more shallow angle of attack. By doing this, you will eliminate many of your inconsistent shots.

Golf Swing Advice For Playing Your Best Golf

Playing your best golf is very fulfilling and here is some golf swing advice on how to do it. First of all, you must learn to master the fundamentals. This includes having a proper grip, setup, and stance. Good alignment will help you hit your shots straighter and allow you to swing the club on the correct path more naturally and more easily.

Once you've gotten your golf swing setup fundamentals down, it's time to learn some important keys to a proper golf swing. Make sure your swing has smooth tempo. Do not try to rush and try to swing the same tempo on every shot.

Swinging on plane will allow you to hit more consistent, straighter golf shots. To get the club on plane in your backswing, try to feel like you are swinging the club directly over your right shoulder. On the follow through, you should simply mirror the backswing and swing the golf club over your left shoulder to finish your swing. When golfers swing the club too steeply or too much around their bodies it becomes difficult to get the club into the proper impact position for any kind of consistency.

A proper turn and weight shift are essential components for good golf as well. Make sure you turn and shift so you feel your weight go to the inside part of your back foot. If your weight rolls towards the outside of your foot you have moved too much laterally and are probably trying to force your turn incorrectly. A proper shoulder to hip turn ratio is 2 to 1. This means the shoulders should turn twice as far as the hips do in the golf backswing. Generally, a good golfer will be able to turn their shoulders a full 90 degrees. The hips will then have turned half that distance or 45 degrees.

Good sequence can help any golfer significantly improve their direction with their golf shots and hit the ball much straighter. Because the shoulders turn twice as far as the hips do in the golf swing, the shoulders must start their turn first. Ideally, the golf club is swung back in the takeaway, then the shoulders start to turn and about halfway back into the backswing the hips turn. You always want the golf club to lead in the golf swing. You clubs swings and your body responds or follow the club. Turning the body before swinging the club up in the backswing leads to being out of sync and a loss of power and consistency with your golf shots will result.

Once you've mastered your golf fundamentals including the setup, swing plane, and swing sequence, you'll be well on your way to playing great golf and shooting low scores on a regular basis.

Towards a Perfect Golf Swing

Very often golfers, while trying to maximize power from their golf swing sequence, have to compromise on accuracy. Here is a swing that gives your golf swing speed and accuracy.

The right hand should flick the club-head through the ball under the left forearm and not over it. The club head travels from behind the point of the arm shoulder triangle and moves up to it during impact. When completed correctly, the club head will swing past the point of the triangle after impact without the club face closing. The golfer should be careful not to rotate the left forearm in a rollover type movement. The left palm should be face down after impact. In this action the inner forearm muscle of the right hand and the left outer forearm muscles come into play when the player fully releases the left wrist.

The player can gain additional golf swing speed if the forearms are wound up during the back swing and then unwound during the release sequence. The winding and unwinding of the forearm muscles leads to the better use of the forearm muscles especially the ones that rotate the forearm bones. You can verify this by using your little club to physically see this action. During the completion of the release, the club must have a square club face as it passes through the ball. In an incomplete release, the club head will be left trailing the hands, instead of catching the left arm at impact and passing it after impact. Such shots lose some power and often fall short. The golfer who spends time mastering this better swing and its release will do very well on the course.

Keep your cool

It's no use berating yourself after a bad shot. In 9 cases out of 10 if we lose our cool, a bad shot will be followed by another bad shot. The moment we lose our cool we lose control over our shot and it will tend to get awry. It is better to spend a moment or two thinking about the cause of the error. The golfer must try and fix the error. Indeed being angry is rather a waste of mental energy. Once you are ready, make a few practice swings to get back into play as well as practice the correct golf swing already in your mind. This way we get a better chance of executing the correct swing properly and get back into play.

Good golfers characteristically remember an error made in a previous sequence and make practice swings to iron out the difficulties if any on the ground. This not only leads to a better golf swing but prevents further loss of good cheer on the course.

The Simple Golf Swing Scam

Is The Simple Golf Swing a Scam? Will it help you dramatically improve your golf game? Discover the truth in this Simple Golf Swing review!

The author and instructor of The Simple Golf Swing is David Nevogt. David claims that his hot selling e-course is guaranteed to help you become a better golfer or your money back. In fact, it is not uncommon for golfers to shave of 6-7 strokes off their game after taking this course, and in my opinion that is huge!

Nevogt reports that his course has already helped over 16,000 golfers in over 30 countries since its release 3 years ago. The Simple Golf Swing website is full of customer testimonials from golfers that he has already helped.

So what exactly can you expect from The Simple Golf Swing? Well it will help to improve your game through a series of exercises that start from the basics of how to properly grip your club, right up to more advanced techniques such as his revolutionary method of rotating around your spine to hit straight and consistent shots every time.

The e-course includes DVD clips, practice drills, work sheets and assignments. You also get access to the private members only forum where David Nevogt can help you solve any problems that you might be experiencing. There are people of all different skill levels on the forum and it is very helpful place to hangout, chat, and exchange golf tips. You will also get inside reviews on which golfing aids actually work and which ones are just pure scams. If you're an accessory junkie like me, then this will save you lots of money right away!

Another included feature which I like is the break down sessions. Slowed down video and pictures are used to completely break down the swing you are learning so you can fully understand the mechanics before heading to the range and practicing yourself.

Think about all the money you save too, it's not uncommon to pay $75-$85 per hour for other lessons which don't guarantee your money back if you're not satisfied, or if your golf game doesn't improve.

The Real Golf Swing Secret Revealed?

There are so many products on the market at the moment that are sold on the basis that they have some sort of secret that nobody else knows except for all the other people that bought them. Strange as it sounds even the game of golf seems to be a very lucrative market for this type of thing. There are a lot of books and video's at the moment that are claiming to be able to tell what the golf swing secret is and how to figure it out and effectively use it to improve your golf game. Of course it is really just a sales tactic but that doesn't mean that some of the products don't contain a lot of very useful information that can help you significantly improve your golfing game and bring your scores down to a respectable level. If the book or video that you bought focuses on one single aspect of the perfect golf swing and if it gives good advice then it can be a great help.

After all, if you only have one thing to concentrate on then the chances are that you will not lose focus on what the course is trying to teach you. It can be very helpful to just be taught one thing at a time as long as it is not so different as to make everything else that you have learned useless. Unfortunately, there is not one single golf swing secret that will suddenly make you a much better golfer than you were before. In fact, if there was then everyone would use it and there would be no advantage to it.

The real golf swing secret is to find a good golf coach that really knows what they are talking about and practice what they teach you. The key to success here is to find someone that is not only good at golf and knows what to do but that is also a good teacher. There are many good teachers around and perhaps the best and easiest way to find one is by recommendation. It is all very well seeing an advertising campaign and knowing that the tutor has played in a lot of golfing tournaments but you need to know that they not only know how to play the game of golf but also that they can teach you in such a way that it will help to improve your game.

Of course it would make things a lot easier if there really were a golf swing secret that would make you a much better player but if you just learn how to improve your swing and practice until it gets better it will give you a really great sense of achievement.

Perfect Your Golf Swing Follow Through And Your Entire Golf Swing

The golf follow through is an important part of your golf technique. For one thing, your follow through will tell you certain things about your golf swing and your golf shots. If you're not completing your follow through correctly, you'll tend to have some other golf swing errors. Good golf technique will lead to a good follow through.

Working on your golf finish position can actually help you keep your golf club on plane correctly in your swing. The key to a successful follow through is to swing the golf club over your left shoulder. This will tell you the golf club is being swung on the correct path. If your swing is too steep or too flat in your backswing, you can actually fix a lot of it by simply trying to swing on the correct path in your follow through.

Your follow through will be higher when you are trying to hit the golf ball higher. If you are trying to hit the ball low, you'll want to keep your follow through low and not let it completely finish. This will produce a low ball trajectory for you.

Another important concept is that a balanced finished position generally means you had a balanced swing. An off balance follow through position means there are errors in your swing. You should always finish your swing so you are directly facing your target. If you have made a good swing, you should also be able to hold your follow through position as if you were going to pose for a camera. Learn to make your follow through picture perfect and you'll start hitting perfect golf shots with better balance.

Why Would You Try a Golf Swing Training Course?

Most people have a specific golf swing that is unique to them, even if they have had the same instructor. Sam wasn't sure why this was the case. He decided to watch some of the better regulars and see what they did differently from all the rest. A month later, he discovered that many of these men also worked out and were physically fit. These were the golfers that tended to have lower scores and played on a consistent basis.

This is why Sam decided to talk to a golf pro about ways he could get some of the same consistency. After their conversation, he signed up for some golf swing training courses. He hoped the drills and exercises would improve his golf swing and increase his overall fitness level.

How can golf swing training courses improve someone's swing?

- Certain stretching exercises can prevent injuries.
- You will be able to play at a higher level of play when you are physically fit.
- The body will have a better range of motion.
- It will be easier to hit the ball farther because of more speed in the club head.
- You will gain more power in your swing when you have full range of motion.
- Flexibility can increase with rotational exercises.
- There are more exercises and drills online.

Many of today's top professional golfers regularly participate in golf drills and exercises so they have the competitive edge over their competition. The golf swing training courses they use help them gain a full range of motion, which increases the power found in the swing. The rotational exercises make it easier to play at a higher level of play on a consistent basis.

Those who are physically fit and flexible find it is easier to increase their speed. They also find they can move the club farther. The more the body can turn, the more there is an increase in power. This can protect someone from a golf-related injury.

There are a number of golfers who use specific rotational exercises to increase their flexibility. The golf swing training course they use helps them loosen their joints and strengthens the muscles they use in a golf swing. One exercise is to use a dumbbell and twist the body side to side. Another is to touch the toes or to twist with your arms extended outward. This will develop more flexibility in the shoulders, hips and back.

Are Golf Swing Training Aids Worth the Price?

Dave doesn't live in the city or near a large shopping area, so buying items for golf can be a little difficult for him. Of course, each golf course usually has a pro shop where you can buy golf equipment and clothing, but if you are looking for specific golf swing training aids, you might have a difficult time. Some people don't believe in using these types of aids in the first place, since they think that they are all scams or that they don't work. So are golf swing training aids really worth the price?

- Dave had developed some pretty serious problems with his driver and he had gotten to the point where he didn't even want to swing in front of his buddies. So he needed to look at golf swing training aids that would help him develop confidence in his swing in addition to adding more distance. Luckily, there were several very good aids that promised to do just that.

- Like most people, he was a little reluctant to buy and try something that could potentially harm his swing, so he went online and looked at the reviews. Once he had identified a couple of golf swing training aids that looked good to him, he read the reviews to see what others said about them.

- There are several very good websites that have a variety of golf aids available for people of all ages and levels of experience. Because Dave was a little older, he didn't want something that was too strenuous, so he went to a site that catered to men over the age of 40 and found what he was looking for.

- Although he did end up paying a little more for the training equipment than he had initially hoped, he found that it almost immediately solved his problem. It helped him swing straighter, follow through in a way that he hadn't before and even hit the ball further off the tee.

So, for Dave, using a training aid was the best investment in his golf game that he had made in years. Having the confidence to stand in the tee box again was something that he needed if he was ever going to enjoy playing golf, so his investment was well worth it. You might also find that if you do the research and find the right aid, you will fix your golf issues, too.

Golf Push Slice

If you are struggling with your swing shot and the ball in not going straight towards the target then there are chances that you are slicing or hooking the ball. In most of the cases, your friend or fellow golfers comes to you and tell you to try something. May be the advice can work for you but if it does not then you will loose confidence and your swing might get worse. You need to worry though because almost all the amateur golfers face this problem of slice in their swing. But there are only a few who are able to sort it out. One important factor to deal with the problem of slice is to know which type of slice shot is your? Either it golf slice, golf pull slice or golf push slice.

I have seen that most of the golfers don't know about their golf slice type and hence been struggling for this problem for a long time. In all three golf slice types, golf push slice is the most common. In this type of shot the golf ball follows a in-to-out path. The trajectory of the ball starts from the right side of the target line and curves further right. A push slice is opposite of pull slice in which the ball follows an out-to-in path.

The root cause of this error is open face of your club at the impact. Also your body balance can be crucial factor. Sometimes there can be problems in the ball position, grip, your stance and your swing mechanics. Well, all these factors are crucial for any swing whether you are driving or chipping.

Once you know that you are getting golf push slice then you will be able to fix this error more rapidly. For that you should try the following methods:

Always use a tighter grip if you are getting push slice.
Try to increase your upper body movement and decrease the lower body movement.
Make sure that the ball is properly positioned before a swing. Also move the ball a little forward for a better impact.
Take a look at your stance and make sure that your body and shoulders are properly aligned to the target line.
Finally, concentrate on the rhythmic motion of the arms and shoulder with the swing.

A slice shot is not easy to deal with and often take some time to cure. But if you try practice with all the above factors in mind then it will be easy for you to sort out the problem of slice.

Sweet And Easy Golf Swing Tips

Most golfers don't know that eighty percent of the world's golfers have a handicap of 18 or more. The biggest concerns of golfers today are inconsistency first of all, followed by slicing and distance. Golf is a difficult game to master and most golfers don't have the time it takes to practice, practice, and practice to significantly improve.

Keep the good energy flowing and don't give in to any negative thoughts. Approach the game with a positive attitude and repeat affirmations if you can, such as "I play great golf all the time." Visualize where you would like the ball to land, as you swing.

Use the muscles in your legs and trunk when you swing. Make sure to use the proper technique. Accomplished golfers purposely use sidespin to steer their ball around obstacles or towards the safe side of fairways and greens.

Use the basic 'hitchhiker' position when you're working on your backswing. As the body matures, the ability to rotate the upper torso is affected by age, and the hand action can also slow down requiring a slightly stronger grip. The most important thing about the golf swing is the angle and not the strength that's applied to it.

Trust your golf club to do the job it was intended to do. It's difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training facility. Try not to grip the club too tightly.

Putting can become a nightmare and a condition called the 'yips' has affected not only amateurs but professionals as well; get expert advice and consider a golf swing aid. Many golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily life prefer the right-handed swing.

To prevent injury and improve swing speed and distance requires your body to be both strong and flexible. It's no secret; most of the professional players actively participate in workouts. The state of the physical condition is very often overlooked as a possible cause of golf swing problems.

Golf swing aids come in all shapes and sizes including apparel type accessories to correct alignment or a club add-on accessory to monitor your swing. Aids can be found online and are often cheaper. There are aids that will help you with swing alignment.

Be careful about the claims on TV commercials and magazine ads; seek expert advice before you buy because they may not live up to their claims. Golf swing aids will improve your game. Golf magazines often review the newest golf swing aids and are reviewed by golfers, making it easy to choose the right one for you.

If you're looking for an aid to improve your stance they're not hard to find. Keep in mind that with some golf swing aids, you may still need advice or help from an expert. If you're a golfing novice just starting out, it's easy to become overwhelmed.

Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, pick just one aid and go to work on your swing. You can find golf swing aids that will help you with your wrist and arm position.

With plenty of practice, a better golf swing will be the end result. Practice, practice, practice! When you play a round of golf, concentrate on improving your golf swing, putting or something specific that day; have a plan in mind.

Adam Scott Golf Swing Near Perfect

Adam Scott golf swing technique is near perfect. His swing has been compared to Tigers many, many times as it looks almost identical. The comparison starts with their fitness level. Both Adam Scott and Tiger have taken golf fitness to a whole new level. Neither of them have any limitations that affect their swing technique which is very unusual. Most golfers have some restriction whether it be strength or flexibility that creeps into their swing.

Adam Scott has perfect golf posture as well as he maintains perfect spine angle. In fact, Tigers golf swing is less efficient than Adam's, but Adam Scott doesn't have the short game nor the mental toughness that Tiger has, so Tiger wins many more tournaments than Adam ever will.

I applaud Scott for his fortitude with his golf game preparation, and I look for him to win more tournaments as his career progresses. With a near flawless golf swing, all he needs is a slightly improved short game and some mental improvement, and he will be a Major championship winner shortly.

His power and accuracy are near the top on tour year after year, so there is not a lot of room for improvement in those categories, and he will continue with his golf training program which will always give him an edge in regards to distance and consistency throughout the tournament, so he needs to focus on short game and mental.

I hope more golfers take their fitness more serious, and as they see the tour players excelling, maybe that will be enough.

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
